Going the Distance

$4,326 Total Raised

Cycle, run, hike, row, swim, walk… Choose your challenge to benefit high school graduates whose lives have been impacted by cancer. With many athletic events canceled this year, athletes are seeking new challenges. Reach your goals, stay fit, and benefit young people coping with the impact of cancer on their families, and now the new world created by the pandemic. All proceeds benefit The Sigrid Hardy Memorial Scholarship.

“Being surrounded by disease for so long changes how you think, makes you wonder how there could be a life outside of that bubble, but also makes you appreciate the time that you have more. Cancer has practically defined these past few years for me, but I have found ways to keep it off my mind. Going to school, learning about languages and computers, two things that I love, has helped me keep focus on something productive.” …Sigrid Hardy Memorial Scholarship recipient.

Pick your activity and mileage (treadmill and trainer miles welcome), customize your own fundraising page, and then Go.The.Distance! The challenge runs the month of June, 30 days to achieve your goal. Select prizes will be awarded to fundraisers and mileage winners. Register now to grab a t-shirt, open to the first 20 people to register. Suggested fundraising goal $100, minimum $10.

This event is sponsored by The Mayday Foundation, Providence Regional Cancer Services, and Capital Bicycling Club to replace our annual live event.
