Make a difference this season and help hungry kids in Pittsburgh!
This season, with the help of my teammates, I’m inviting fans to help keep families fed in the Pittsburgh area by making a pledge to Scores for Kids challenge.
Make a pledge for every touchdown the Steelers score during the 2016 season. Proceeds go to Sammie’s Dreambuilders program and its support of The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
PLEDGE $1 OR MORE
When you make a pledge of at least $1 per touchdown or a flat donation of $40 or more, you will be entered to win a signed helmet. (Minimum donation of $40 for the season to be entered to win the drawing at the end of the season. Winner will be notified by email at the end of the season.)
PLEDGE $10 OR MORE
When you make a pledge of $10 per touchdown or more or a flat donation of at least $400, you will receive a special invitation for two to Sammie Coates’s Champions Reception on Tues., Nov. 15, where you and a guest will meet Sammie and each get a special autographed gift and a photo. Complementary food and drinks will also be provided. (Minimum donation of at least $400 for the season to attend the reception. You will be contacted by email with your invitation to the event.)
Who Benefits?
All proceeds will benefit Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and their Produce to People mobile food pantry program. Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank exists because growing numbers of people in our community struggle with meeting a basic human need – food. Produce to People, the Food Bank’s large-scale direct distribution program, helps meet the need by serving 7,000 households at 17 sites throughout southwestern Pennsylvania each month. Each family receives 30-50 pounds of food, mostly fresh produce. Learn more at www.pittsburghfoodbank.org.
