The Western Michigan Football Chapter Lift for Life is coming up and our team is proud to dedicate our performance in support of Uplifting Athletes. Uplifting Athletes is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which harnesses the power of sport to build community and invest in the lives of those impacted by rare disease.
Lift For Life is Uplifting Athletes’ signature event held by student-athletes at colleges and universities across the country. Our event is scheduled for June 28.
The challenges faced by the rare community are bigger than any one individual, team, or organization can tackle alone. Here at Western Michigan, we take pride in the opportunity to shine a spotlight on rare diseases and support Uplifting Athletes so that no person feels alone.

The proceeds from our 2023 Lift for Life support the mission of Uplifting Athletes and its charitable programs: rare disease awareness, rare disease research, Uplifting Experiences, and Uplifting Leaders.
The Western Michigan Chapter
The Western Michigan University football program started tackling rare diseases in 2018 when Broncos Jamauri Bogan and Justin Tranquill founded the chapter. The 2018 Touchdown Pledge Drive was the Broncos’ first event to support the Rare Disease Community, and Western Michigan also hosted a Rare Disease Awareness Game against Syracuse to open the 2018 season.
