Proceeds benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®
My Name is Matt Costa and I am the Head Varsity Football Coach at Pleasant Grove High School.
Cancer is one of the most devastating diseases one can be diagnosed with. This disease has touched my life more than once. Both my father, Joe Costa, my best friend, Margie Wells, and my father-in-law, Larry Lenhart have all been diagnosed with Cancer. My dad Joe was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2000, Margie with Breast Cancer in 2005 and my Father-in-law Larry, was recently diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Equally as devastating as their diagnosis, is when a young person or a young child is diagnosed with the disease.
Football is a sport that teaches our youth to be selfless in support of others. Most of the time that being supporting our fellow teammates. This is an opportunity to take that a step further by teaching our young men how to support each other outside of football, in this case, children who are afflicted with this devastating diagnosis. Please support us as we work to raise 5,000 dollars to help support the fight against childhood cancer my supporting our “Touchdown’s Against Cancer” program for 2017.
