Proceeds benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®
Each year, more than 15,000 kids and young adults are diagnosed with cancer—that’s about 42 per day.
Though the 5-year-survival rate for childhood cancers has reached 80 percent, nearly 2,000 kids under age 19 die each year, making cancer the leading killer of children by disease.
And that’s just in the United States. In 2016, over 300,000 kids and young adults were diagnosed worldwide.
Childhood cancer is still a big problem because:
In support of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the Bullock County Hornets football team is proud to join Touchdowns Against Cancer 2017!
Touchdowns Against Cancer is important to Bullock County because childhood cancer remains the leading cause of death by disease among young Americans. This is our way of helping the 16,000 children and adolescents that will be diagnosed with cancer this year.
We are challenging our fans to pledge for every touchdown we score between September 14th - 30th to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Thank you for your generosity and support. Be sure to share our campaign with our entire community on social media. Every pledge and every touchdown gets us closer to defeating childhood cancer!
