Shawn was a college classmate and fellow athlete who excelled at many things including running. He sadly passed away on the second plane to hit the WTC on 9/11/01. So....I'm participating in "Shawn Nassaney 911 mile challenge" benefiting Shawn M. Nassaney Memorial Foundation. A Spirit Never Stops Running
We ran with Shawn in high school/college and wanted to honor his memory for the upcoming 20th running of the Shawn M. Nassaney Memorial Race in 2020 by running 911 miles between now and 9/11/2020. This will be a difficult challenge but we’re motivated. We hope to channel some of Shawn’s passion and dedication to achieve this goal and honor his memory.
