“Over 60,000 kids are growing up in the Greater Charlotte area with few, if any age-appropriate books at home.”
A quote from Promising Pages, a local non-profit organization that takes donations and gently used books and gives them to children who have few- if any- books for their age group at home. For every $10 donated, Promising Pages can provide a stack of age appropriate books to a child in need.
I have always had a passion for reading that started when I was the age of the kids receiving these books. It makes sense to me that my equal passion for pole vault will help nurture the same love of reading in these kids that I had when I was young! Help me give these kids the same opportunities I had when I was young and pledge to donate an amount for every point I earn in pole vault this Spring track season!
