I'm participating in "Page Lacrosse Supports Crayons Matter" and am asking you to support me by pledging per goal during my fundraising campaign. I believe in this cause and I'm excited to earn your support with every goal. Please help me reach the campaign goal of $5,000 by pledging now. I really appreciate your support. Thank you!
My name is Whit Edwards and I am a junior at Page High School in Greensboro, NC. This year I am leading a fundraiser for Crayons Matter through our Mens Lacrosse Team. Crayons Matter is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to educate children globally and locally while inspiring their imaginations through crayons and basic school supplies. This past summer I had the opportunity to go to the Dominican Republic with Crayons Matter, traveling in and around the province of La Romana to many bateys which house many impoverished families. We made artwork, did arts and crafts, played sports, and gave each kid a backpack with crayons, tablets of paper, pencils, colored pencils, a pencil sharpener, and local children’s art. Despite the struggles that these kids were facing, they loved having us around and were extremely excited to have school supplies. The smiles and laughter throughout the villages was an incredible experience for myself and my group. I hope you and the Page Mens Lacrosse Team can work together to create more opportunities for Crayons Matter to educate more kids throughout the world and put a smile on their faces.
We are accepting lump sum donations or, for people who want to have some more fun, donations for each goal Page Lacrosse scores this season. Please consider supporting Crayons Matter by donating to this campaign. The official goal count will start February 27 and hopefully will continue all the way through the North Carolina State Championships in May! Pirates for Crayons Matter.
