Notre Dame Football Lift For Life 2023: Cornerbacks

The Notre Dame Football Chapter Lift for Life is coming up and our team is proud to dedicate our performance in support of Uplifting Athletes. Uplifting Athletes is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which harnesses the power of sport to build community and invest in the lives of those impacted by rare disease.

Lift For Life is Uplifting Athletes’ signature event held by student-athletes at colleges and universities across the country. Our event is scheduled for July 7.

The challenges faced by the rare community are bigger than any one individual, team, or organization can tackle alone. Here at Notre Dame, we take pride in the opportunity to shine a spotlight on rare diseases and support Uplifting Athletes so that no person feels alone.

Supporting our Lift for Life is simple! Fans can pledge for total number of max leg press repetitions we complete. Our goal is to average 450 reps during the event.

The Notre Dame Chapter

The Notre Dame Chapter started tackling rare diseases in 2012 when it joined Uplifting Athletes. The student-athlete led Notre Dame Chapter was started by former Fighting Irish linebacker Joe Schmidt and serves the Rare Disease Community in honor of rare disease patient Sam Grewe.

Diagnosed with the rare disease osteosarcoma in 2011 as a teenager, Grewe is a huge Fighting Irish fan and the Notre Dame football program formed a close relationship with Grewe as he battled his rare disease.
