Proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities
It’s about 1,000 miles from Minneapolis to Atlanta. Think how long it takes to drive that distance. Now imagine doing it on a bicycle! That’s the distance our BBBS team member, Mae Kindler, will cover as she bikes across Minnesota to support Twin Cities youth. Mae, a Senior Alumni and Technology Coordinator, has worked at BBBS for six years and is an avid cyclist. She’s mapped out an aggressive 1,000 mile route that will take her back-and-forth across the state, including stops at two other Minnesota BBBS agencies in St. Cloud and Owatonna. On August 19 she plans to ride 200 miles IN ONE DAY. Her route also includes a trip to the Canadian and South Dakota borders and concludes with a celebratory ride where she’ll invite the community to accompany her as she checks off the last few miles of her journey. Follow along Mae’s journey on our blog.
You can support Mae’s efforts without having to get on a bike! Make a gift for each mile that Mae completes. All proceeds help us create more life-changing mentoring relationships for Twin Cities youth.
