Friends and fans–
Thanks so much for your support this season. It was an honor to be named an All-Star, and I’m excited for the rest of this year. I’ve decided to join Big League Impact by dedicating my performance on the field towards Crisis Aid’s St. Louis Refuge Home for domestic victims of sex trafficking and abuse. I hope you’ll join me by pledging for each strikeout I throw.
Since January 2013, The Refuge Home in St. Louis has provided services to more than 160 victims of sex trafficking and abuse. The program incorporates a holistic approach to rehabilitation—Crisis Aid works closely with federal and local law enforcement officials to refer victims. The girls are provided a safe and loving home with their own bedroom, and receive services and opportunities including basic care, professional counseling, medical and mental health care, life skills programs, and educational opportunities.
I’m personally pledging $75 per strikeout for the whole season, and I’m hoping we can raise enough money this year to fund and remodel the center in order to keep the doors open to this much-needed center that provides services for 22 girls.
As a thank-you for pledging alongside me, I’m giving away autographed baseballs, t-shirts, and other cool items.
I’m grateful for your support on and off the field, and together, I know that we’ll make a Big League Impact this year!
