Each and every day, members of our Armed Forces and first responders like NYPD, NYFD and EMTs make incredible sacrifices to put our country in a position to have the freedoms and safety we sometimes take for granted. Their families also make a great sacrifice, sometimes the ultimate sacrifice. That is why my TRU32 program is continuing the Pastime for Patriots legacy of showing honor to those who carry out that purpose daily. This campaign is for them.
Please join me in supporting our military and first responder families who need us most by pledging for every strikeout I record during the season!
The money raised from this campaign will go toward our TRU32 home games where 32 American Heroes are invited to enjoy a Mets game with a guest. We are also expanding the program to include scholarships for youth who have lost a parent in the line of duty and events to raise awareness for other programs that support first responders. I will personally match every dollar raised, doubling the effort to support Pastime for Patriots and TRU32.
I always compete hard to show respect for Mets fans and the game I love, but with your support I will be pitching with an additional PURPOSE. #beyondthebaselines
