Proceeds benefit Uplifting Athletes, Inc.
A message from Erica Smiley:
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page! Help support "Mechanicsburg Softball: Runs for Rare Diseases" by making a pledge or donation today! You will seriously make a difference, guaranteed. Thank you for your support and generosity!
We compete on the field, but that doesn’t stop us from knowing what’s important off the field. This season our team will score runs to raise money to support the rare disease community and the Mechanicsburg Softball program. We are asking fans to pledge toward every run we score in our four games between May 8-12 during the Mechanicsburg Runs For Rare Diseases. Click the “Pledge Now” button to make your contribution.
Proceeds from this fundraiser will be shared 50/50 with Uplifting Athletes and the Mechanicsburg Softball booster club. Uplifting Athletes is a nonprofit organization that inspires the rare disease community with hope through the power of sport. A rare disease is one that affects fewer than 200,000 Americans and consequently lacks financial incentive to make and market new treatments. Uplifting Athletes was founded by Scott Shirley, the son of long-time MASH baseball coach and teacher Don Shirley. The Mechanicsburg Softball Booster Club provides financial support to teams and players.
Thank you for supporting our campaign. We really appreciate your generosity. Every contribution will make a difference for the rare disease community and our baseball program in the future. Remember to share our campaign on your Facebook and Twitter pages after making a pledge to help spread the word.
