Kyle Gibson Is Making a Big League Impact

Baseball has given me so much. The game I love has provided for my family and has given me an outlet to make an impact on the lives of people in need.

There are many people in this world that need assistance. In areas where the poverty level is high, many children may never see a school, or be able to continue past the elementary level. School is extremely important. Not only is at on outlet for a meal, clean water and shelter, schools are the key to providing an education that will allow the next generation to lead in their communities and develop businesses that will provide relief that they need so badly.

For that reason, this season, I will be taking the mound to win games for the loyal Twin fans who have supported me through thick and thin, and I will also be taking the mound to build a high school in the Ferrier Village community in Haiti.

For every strikeout I record, I will donate $100 and for every win I will donate another $100 to building this school. I will also be joining Brian Dozier, Logan Morrison and Zach Duke to host events and raise as much money as possible to get this school built this year.

INFO ON SPECIFIC PROJECT

Haiti is the third poorest nation in the world and the work that Help One Now is doing down there is bringing hope through education and investing in the individual dreams of families.

Our goal in 2018 is to raise a combined $400,000 to build and maintain 40 classrooms. The new classroom will allow the young people who can only dream of a higher education to graduate from high school and be prepared for college.

I believe that one way to eliminate poverty is to raise the education level in poor countries and encourage the young people to stay home and be the future leaders of their communities.

Every dollar that we raise through Big League Impact this year will go directly to building this school.
