Kent State Football Lift For Life 2021: Defense

The 2021 Kent State Football Chapter Lift for Life is coming up and our team is proud to dedicate our performance in support of Uplifting Athletes and its mission to inspire the Rare Disease Community with hope through the power of sport.

Lift For Life is a signature event held by fellow student-athletes at universities across the country. Our Lift for Life is scheduled for July 23rd. The event is private this year.

Fans and supporters can make a pledge for each repetition the the defense averages of 225 bench press. Our goal is to average 10 reps during our Lift for Life competition.

The challenges faced by the Rare Disease Community are bigger than any one individual, team or organization can tackle alone. Here at Kent State we take pride in the opportunity to shine a spotlight on rare diseases and support Uplifting Athletes.

The Kent State Chapter

Kent State football program was inspired to help Tackle Rare Diseases by Golden Flashes wide receiver Antwan Dixon, who returned to the field in 2019 after a 36-month absence while battling the rare blood disorder aplastic anemia. Dixon was a finalist for the 11th Uplifting Athletes Rare Disease Champion Award and was a member of the 2019 Rare Disease Champion Team. Uplifting Athletes is proud to partner with Kent State Football to show support and advocate for the Rare Disease Community.
