Jalyn Holmes Sacks for Kids

As I start my NFL career, I want to do so with a bigger purpose beyond my play on the field. I want to use my platform to better the world. That’s why, for my rookie season, I’m joining forces with Option2, and why I’ve launched this campaign to make our team’s sacks count for something more this season. With your support, every sack that my teammates and I have during the 2018 NFL season will help provide services that will help student-athletes excel in life with or without sports.

WHY OPTION 2

Unfortunately, many of the youth in the area that I am from are economically disadvantaged, live in single parent households, and could possibly be first generation college students in their family. However many feel the only way to break the cycle of poverty is to become a professional athlete or entertainer. Option2 holds a special place in my heart, because they work to create a society in which every young student-athlete, regardless of background, understands the importance of integrity, excelling academically, and having other options.

Only an extremely small percentage of high school athletes go on to play professionally, and I feel it is very important to spread the message that you do not have to be a professional athlete in order to be considered successful.
