Tyler and I are excited to share that we're participating in the 2019 Teen Cancer America Hoop-A-Thon at UNC! This is our first time participating and hope to have a great time while raising money for a great cause. This is a friendly competition between UNC and Duke and we hope our team comes out on top! Team UNC is led by Brice Johnson, and Team Duke by Nolan Smith. Proceeds from both sides will be used collectively to support this cause. We hope that you’ll consider supporting us. The UNC-Duke rivalry is considered one of the most intense in all of sports. This year, Teen Cancer America is excited to announce the annual Hoop-a-Thon, which will bring this historic rivalry to life once again. Support Team UNC by making a donation!

You can participate in the Hoop-a-Thon at Cameron Indoor Stadium on August 25th by becoming a Fundraiser with a goal of $120! Click “Become a Fundraiser“ to sign up. After creating your Fundraiser site, invite friends to make a donation. Come join Teen Cancer America, show off your basketball skills, and help us build our next state-of-the-art treatment facility.

ABOUT TEEN CANCER AMERICA

Teen Cancer America’s work supports the coming together of physicians and allied healthcare professionals in both pediatric and adult oncology so that the teen and young adult cancer patient care becomes closer to where it needs to be. Age targeted care for this population is necessary for medical and appropriate psychosocial development of this unique age group. Research shows that some cancers that target this particular age group have not improved in over thirty years while improvements have been made in both pediatric and adult cancers alike. Teens and young adults with cancer are long overdue for an upgrade and Teen Cancer America can hopefully light the fire in America’s health systems.
