Eli Nissenbaum's Mitzvah Project: A “Greater Saves” Campaign

My Bar Mitzvah next April 2018 marks the time when I become a thoughtful, caring adult. In the spirit of Tikkun Olam (acts of kindness performed to repair the world), I’ve launched an exciting Mitzvah project to fulfill my responsibility of community service, while expressing my passion for soccer and playing as a goalkeeper. I invite you to participate in my “Greater Saves” Pledge Campaign, to help me ‘play it forward’ in support of Soccer Without Borders (SWB), which offers programming that inspires positive change for under-served and culturally-isolated youth.

Please consider making a pledge for each goal I save and for every shut-out earned by my team during the winter soccer season. My target is 60 goal saves!

Over the next four months, I will strive to perform my best in the net for my club team, FC England ‘05, and with your generosity, my efforts will earn money to benefit SWB USA. You can pledge a small amount per goal saved and shutout achieved, or make a flat donation. I will tally my saved goals and my team’s shutouts after each game so you can follow our progress.
