I'm participating in "Conestoga Girls Lacrosse Day of Service" and am asking you to support me by pledging per mile during my fundraising campaign. I believe in this cause and I'm excited to earn your support with every mile. Please help me reach the campaign goal of $5,000 by pledging now. I really appreciate your support. Thank you!
Every year a 5v5 Stoga Lax fest is held to raise money for the Fighting Back Scholarship Program and its Peter Kienzle Fund in particular. Fighting Back is an organization based in Malvern that assists individuals who are recovering from a life-changing illness or injury and are without the finances needed to participate in a rehabilitative exercise program. The Peter Kienzle Fund was established in honor of Peter Kienzle, husband, father, and cherished member of our lacrosse community, who was known for his great humor; his penchant for assigning pirate nicknames to friends, and more importantly, his “never quit” approach to life and his fight against cancer. The Peter Kienzle Fund annually awards four to five scholarships to individuals who are clients of the FBSP, giving these individuals the financial support necessary to continue with their rehabilitative treatment.
Unfortunately, due to COVID’s restrictions, the event was unable to be held this past year. So the Conestoga girl’s lacrosse team would love to make up for the cancellation of this event and hold a fundraiser to help this local charity. Also this year US Lacrosse is encouraging teams around the country to participate in a “Day of Service”, so we thought what better way to do that than to give back to a local charity and fund that means a lot to the program.
