Proceeds benefit Food for the Hungry
After two mission trips to the Philippines, where I was able to see poverty and hunger firsthand, I’m excited to partner with Food for the Hungry to help strike out poverty! I love how they not only provide food and clean water but help the communities learn to be self sustaining for the future.
Through my love for baseball, I want to see the end of poverty in the Dominican Republic. Striking Out Poverty encompasses nine innings with each inning focused on providing the major need for one community in the DR. For example, by pledging a donation for every strikeout I record this season, you will giving to the urgent needs in Mirador (the 1st inning) such as water purification, building a community center and funding a local baseball program that would give children the opportunity for structured play as well as to be in a safe environment with caring adults who want to invest in them.
Join me in providing something better and ending poverty in the Dominican Republic through my Striking Out Poverty campaign. Pledge a donation for every strikeout I record this season to support Striking Out Poverty!
The first 25 people to donate a minimum of $25 between September 22nd and the end of the season (October 2nd) will receive an autographed Chase Anderson baseball card.
Striking Out Poverty is a program within Food for the Hungry, a non-profit organization. Founded in 1971, Food for the Hungry provides emergency relief and long-term development programs with operations in more than 20 countries, seeking to end all forms of human poverty. Using solutions that are innovative and community-specific to the complex view of poverty, Food for the Hungry contributes to community-owned transformations that empower children, families and communities to invest in their own development.
Thank you for your support and for helping me to strike out poverty!
Sincerely,
Chase Anderson
