How long have you been using Pledge It? Are you generally happy? Did you get good support at set-up?
We have used this platform since Summer 2022. We have been very happy. Set up support was / is awesome. We have had recommendations along the way to make it more user friendly and they have made changes based on our usage. Initially they created our site but now we have the ability to duplicate our site year after year. As far as the individual teams-- they had zero complaints this year!
What is the size of your event in terms of dollars raised & teams?
We will end the year with $170,000 raised, and our goal is really about $150,000. 117 teams registered this past year. In 2022, we had 33 teams that didn’t fundraise at all. In 2023, we only had 22 teams that didn’t fundraise.
What are your top 3 likes about Pledge It?
- I like the dashboard the admin uses, so easy to use.
- I love our contact person at Pledge It. She is incredible.
- I love that the families can make their page as much about them as they want—but their effort level can also be minimal.
- Report export options are plentiful and export to excel. We can pull donations, transactions, orders, participants, teams, captain data, etc.
- The messaging center is awesome. The emails come through very nicely. You can't attach a document to a message, that might be a con. However, you can have the document linked to a website and have a button that leads you to the document.
What are their top 3 dislikes about the system?
To be honest, I do not have one dislike at this point. You used to not be able to add names to teams if a person was not fundraising-- but now you can. Pledge It has been willing to write instructions for us to post. They have made instruction videos for our page. It has been incredible. I sound like I could be a commercial for them-- but they are really great.
How easy is it for team captains to use your page? Do they like it, or do they have problems?
The captains like it. I like that I can send specific messages to them. It is easier to direct people to a donor platform than deal with going through our own wordpress website.
How prompt is the support from Pledge It?
I don't know if our support person is just the best ever-- but she will get back to me in an hour. She has a calendar so you can request a meeting with her with ease. She called me on the phone to explain things. We were literally on Zoom last year on New Years Eve Day trying to get my site ready to go by Midnight – which I now feel silly about, because it was not a big deal, but I was a newbie. Every time there was a hiccup or question because a donor didn't select the right team, and if I could not figure it out, our contact person always helped me. She is like a jedi.
