Ensuring Educational Equality with Arik Armstead

Each week during the regular season, the NFLPA #CommunityMVP program recognizes one player who has demonstrated a commitment to making a positive impact in his community. I am honored to have been chosen as the Week 10 NFLPA Community MVP, based on my efforts hosting my latest “Storytime With Arik Armstead” virtual event for a third grade class at Stone Elementary in my hometown of Elk Grove, California. Through this initiative, the Armstead Academic Project has now impacted more than 440 youth in first through fourth grade, while visiting 21 virtual classrooms in more than 15 school districts here and abroad. In recognition of this honor, the NFLPA has kicked of my Ensuring Educational Equality campaign by making a $10,000 to Armstead Academic Project.
