Proceeds benefit 5 For The Fight
We’re kicking off #CheerForACause touchdown pledge drive on August 31st, #CollegeColorsDay.
As a Qualtrics team, we support cancer research through #5ForTheFight. We are holding our College Colors touchdown pledge drive from the beginning of the college football season through the month of September (Childhood Cancer Awareness Month) to help raise money through rivalries for important research.
The winning team’s school flag will fly over Qualtrics’ HQ for the month of October. More importantly, imagine what it will feel like cheering your team in for a touchdown and knowing at the same time you are giving to eradicate childhood cancer!
Are you up for the challenge?
Follow the Qualtrics College Colors Leaderboard here!
Pledge $5 or any amount per touchdown our school scores in September and recruit friends & fellow alumni to do the same (they do not need to work at Qualtrics).
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, this first of Qualtrics-kind football contest aims to unify employees to their alma mater, their coworkers, and join across the U.S. offices for a common cause: defeating childhood cancer.
#CollegeColorsDay is the kick off day for The Fight and it empowers employees to raise money to fight childhood cancer, by simply cheering on their team, pledging any amount per touchdown, and inviting their networks to join in the cause.
While pledges can be collected any time after your campaign is launched, the recommended time to start promoting your campaign to your community is NOW! This week is the start of the college football season and all games played through the month of September will count toward your Qualtrics #CollegeColorsDay For The Fight campaign total.
You have two donations options. You have the option to make either a performance pledge based on touchdowns scored or a one-time flat donation. Please urge your friends and family outside of Qualtrics to help your school win! Every dollar funds childhood cancer research in Dr. Josh Schiffman’s lab. He’s the “elephant guy” and he treats kids with cancer.
The average number of touchdowns is 1-3 and the average number of games is 5. If you pledge $1 per touchdown, you will donate $5-$15 and a $5 pledge would be $25-$75 for children’s cancer research.
Qualtrics is seeking to raise a $25,000 grant to childhood cancer research to support the innovative work of Dr. Joshua Schiffman at Huntsman Cancer Institute. As we know by now, Dr. Schiffman’s work seeks to apply the cancer-fighting proteins in elephants to humans with cancer. Dr. Schiffman is himself a cancer survivor, being diagnosed at age 15 by his father. He is incredibly motivated to fight cancer because he treats children with cancer, as well as running a lab.
