WHS Coaches vs Cancer

Coaches vs. Cancer is a program founded by the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Because cancer has touched so many of our lives, we found that by participating in the Coaches vs. Cancer campaign, it gives us the opportunity to fight back against this disease. For our team, it’s personal! We reflect upon the impact Coach Griffin had on the WHS basketball program for so many years, and the great sense of loss the program felt when he was taken from us too soon.  And, unfortunately our athletic community suffered another tragic loss to Cancer just last month.  This event is our own way to help fight Cancer and contribute to a future where this terrible disease no longer exists.

We take the court to take on Cancer, Friday night January 5th at 7pm in the WHS Fieldhouse. Our team goal is to beat last year’s fundraising record of $3500 AND beat last year’s average of 40 Points Per Game! Please consider pledging and come see as as we take on DCL rival Concord Carlisle on January 5th! Thank you!
