Pledge for every point our school scores in September to support 5 For The Fight through Qualtrics Life! #5ForTheFight #qualtricslife

We’re kicking off the 5 For The Fight Football pledge drive on August 30th, College Colors Day.

As a Qualtrics team, we support cancer research through #5ForTheFight. We are holding our College Colors pledge drive from the beginning of the college football season through the month of September (Childhood Cancer Awareness Month) to help raise money through rivalries for important research.

The winning team’s school flag will fly over Qualtrics’ HQ for the month of October. More importantly, imagine what it will feel like cheering your team in for a score and knowing at the same time you are giving to eradicate childhood cancer!

Are you up for the challenge?

How can you help?

Pledge $1 or any amount per point our school scores in September and recruit friends & fellow alumni to do the same (they do not need to work at Qualtrics).

Why September?

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. This annual Qualtrics college football contest aims to unify employees to their alma mater, their coworkers, and join across the U.S. offices for a common cause: defeating childhood cancer.

How does College Colors For The Fight Work?

#CollegeColorsDay is the kick off day for The Fight and it empowers employees to raise money to fight childhood cancer, by simply cheering on their team, pledging any amount per point, and inviting their networks to join in the cause.

Timeline for College Colors for the Fight:

While pledges can be collected any time after your campaign is launched, the recommended time to start promoting your campaign to your community is NOW! All games played through the month of September will count toward your Qualtrics #5ForTheFight College Colors campaign total.

Types of Donations:

You have two donations options. You have the option to make either a performance pledge based on points scored or a one-time flat donation. Please urge your friends and family outside of Qualtrics to help your school win! Every dollar funds childhood cancer research in Dr. Josh Schiffman’s lab. He’s the “elephant guy” and he treats kids with cancer.

How much am I donating?

The average number of points per game is 20-30, and the average number of games is 4. If you pledge $.25 per point, you will donate approximately $20-$25, and a $1 pledge would be approximately $80-$120 for children’s cancer research.

Qualtrics is seeking to raise a $25,000 grant to childhood cancer research to support the innovative work of Dr. Joshua Schiffman at Huntsman Cancer Institute. As we know by now, Dr. Schiffman’s work seeks to apply the cancer-fighting proteins in elephants to humans with cancer. Dr. Schiffman is himself a cancer survivor, being diagnosed at age 15 by his father. He is incredibly motivated to fight cancer because he treats children with cancer, as well as running a lab.
