Ty Montgomery for Forgotten Youth

No child deserves to have their dreams, aspirations, hope and faith taken away from them because of something that wasn’t their fault. Every child deserves the future they want. They get that from family, from having something stable and a strong foundation. No child should be on their own. That’s why I created My 10 Percent, and why I’ve launched this campaign to make my catches count for something more this season.

With your support, every catch I have during the 2018 NFL season will help support and empower the forgotten youth in our society, by giving them hope for a future that they desire, and faith that what they desire is possible. I’m personally pledging $88 for every reception, and I’ll be taking the field with a renewed purpose knowing that with every catch will help those forgotten youth.

All of the funds from this campaign will go towards funding Excellerate, the foster teen education program that I have launched in Green Bay to help prepare foster youth for a successful life as they transition out of the state’s foster care network.

The program will focus on the life skills teens need to become a productive member of society. Additionally, the program will fulfill the requirements from the state of Wisconsin to transition out of the foster care system.

The 16-week program addresses the topics of professionalism, financial responsibility, social skills, and life skills—basic principals learned through family or social interactions, that many of these teens lack. Graduates of the Excellerate program will be given something they also are in desperate need of: transportation. Each Excellerate graduate will be eligible to receive an automobile to help them acclimate to a life of independence.
