Sim's Trans Rights Readathon

Update to the Update: We have raised $2000 for Tony’s Place Houston. At this point, any further donations will go towards The Montrose Center Houston,our city’s LGBTQ+ hub, providing social services, senior living, and youth supports.

Update: Y’all. The initial goal was $400. Then it was $1000. Y’all smashed through in 16 hours, and the readathon doesn’t even start for 10 days!!!

So here’s what we’re doing:

Hateful legislators are trying to criminalize trans people, and booktok won’t stand for it!

I’m going to attempt to read 10 books by trans authors the week of March 20-27 as part of the Trans Rights Readathon on booktok. All the proceeds I raise will be donated to Tony’s Place, a shelter for unstably housed queer and trans youth in Houston, Texas. Tony’s Place is providing housing for some of the most vulnerable young people in our city, and every dollar is going to go far towards meeting their basic needs!
