Proceeds benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®
In support of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the Greenland Pirates football team is proud to join Touchdowns Against Cancer 2017!
Touchdowns Against Cancer is important to Greenland because childhood cancer remains the leading cause of death by disease among young Americans. This is our way of helping the 16,000 children and adolescents that will be diagnosed with cancer this year.
Childhood cancer hit home with me when a friend was diagnosed with a Ewing Sarcoma. During the year after he was diagnosed, he helped our team by breaking down numerous game films for our team. He fought hard for a year, but his body could not fight off the cancer and he passed on August 11 2016.
We are challenging our fans to pledge for every touchdown we score between September 14th - 30th to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Thank you for your generosity and support. Be sure to share our campaign with our entire community on social media. Every pledge and every touchdown gets us closer to defeating childhood cancer!
