Touchdowns against Central Michigan supports rare disease community

The 2015 Syracuse football team is asking its fans to support the student-athlete led Uplifting Athletes Chapter by making a pledge through the Orange’s Touchdown Pledge Drive.

Syracuse football is looking to put more points on the board this season with the return of its starting quarterback and a veteran offensive line.

For the home game against Central Michigan on September 19, the Syracuse Chapter of Uplifting Athletes will use the touchdowns it scores to help make a difference in the rare disease community.

For its second home game of the 2015 season at the Carrier Dome, the Syracuse Chapter of Uplifting Athletes will hold a Touchdown Pledge Drive.

Uplifting Athletes is a national non-profit organization with 25 chapters that support our mission to make a positive and lasting impact on the rare disease community through the power of college football.

When Central Michigan pays a visit to Syracuse, each touchdown the Orange score will benefit the Syracuse Chapter and its efforts to raise awareness of and research funds for the rare disease anaplastic astrocytoma.

Founded in 2013, the Syracuse Chapter is a champion for the rare disease anaplastic astrocytoma in honor of former Orange punter Rob Long, who overcame his battle with this rare disease.

Support the Syracuse Chapter and its efforts to make a difference in the rare disease community by signing up for its Touchdown Pledge Drive today.
