District Pledge Against Hate

Do you feel devastated by the rise of racism, anti-Semitism, and hatred of humanity? Not sure how to respond as Neo-Nazis from Charlottesville organize their march in DC?

Responding to hate with hate does not stop hate. We know we must respond to hate with love. But how?

Pledge to donate $1 (or any amount!) for every Alt-Right/Neo Nazi/Hate-sympathizer that shows up to the Unite the Right 2 Rally in Lafayette Square on August 12.

More haters at Saturday’s rally? More money for Anti-Hate Groups. And the donations will be made ‘in their names’!

Less haters on Saturday = Less hate, so it is a win-win!

Your pledge of any amount for each hater will be distributed to the following organizations split evenly. We will use the Metropolitan Police Department or National Park Service report for total attendees. They have issued a permit for 400 participants.

Organizations:

Anti-Defamation League - The ADL works to stop the defamation of the Jewish people, and to secure justice and fair treatment to all.

The National Immigration Law Center - Defends the rights of low-income immigrants and does policy work on issues such as health care, workers’ rights, and legal status for immigrant youth.

Human Rights Campaign - The nation’s largest LGBTQ rights organization advocates for anti-discrimination legislation and support for people with HIV/AIDS.

Showing up for Racial Justice - SURJ is a national network of groups and individuals working to undermine white supremacy and to work toward racial justice.

The Southern Poverty Law Center -The SPLC is dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society. Using litigation, education, and other forms of advocacy, the SPLC works toward the day when the ideals of equal justice and equal opportunity will be a reality. SPLS is among the most hated groups by the these Nazis, having identified the organizer of this march as a white nationalist extremist.
