Based on 50 punches thrown, each worth $0.50
The goal of Uplifting Athletes is a pursuit that really hits home for me. Since my own recent diagnoses with two rare autoinflammatory diseases, Yao Syndrome and Cryopyrin-associated Periodic Syndrome (CAPS), I had been looking for an organization that bridged the gap between sport and the rare disease community. This organization’s mission is to “Inspire the Rare Disease Community with hope through the power of sport.”
I’m excited to launch my 2021 Punching Out Rare Diseases campaign! During my fight on September 4th, each punch I throw will help Uplifting Athletes fund critical rare disease research. I hope you will join me as I help Uplifting Athletes bring awareness to the 1 in 10 Americans living with a rare disease.
You can join us when I step into the ring and fight for those living with rare diseases by pledging for each thrown punch I average per round. I estimate to throw 50 punches per round.
Thank you so much for your support and generosity. No pledge or donation is too small or too big. Every little bit helps. Please don’t forget to share your support with family, friends and colleagues, as well as on social media.
Uplifting Athletes, a nonprofit organization founded in 2007, inspires the Rare Disease Community with hope through the power of sport. Since 2007, Uplifting Athletes has raised nearly $6 Million to developing Uplifting Leaders, create Uplifting Experiences, fund rare disease research and expand rare disease awareness.
