Portia Powell - Carolina Partners in Mental HealthCare, PLLC - Nolan Smith's Teen Cancer America Hoop-A-Thon

I’m participating in Teen Cancer America’s 1st Annual Hoop-A-Thon Challenge presented by Duke Special Assistant, Nolan Smith to support teens and young adults battling cancer. On July 22, I will attempt to score as many points as possible during my 4-minute Hoop-A-Thon challenge. I’m inviting you to make a pledge per point or make a one-time flat donation. Every pledge and donation will make a significant impact on the lives of teens and young adults fighting cancer!

I chose to particpate in the Teen Cancer America Hoop-a-Thon event because I have a strong passion for helping others. As stated by Jennifer Amiston, "Cancer affects all of us, whether you're a daughter, mother, sister, friend, coworker, doctor, or patient." Therefore, if I can help raise money for kids to gain more access to mental health services while battling cancer - during and after treatment through playing one of my favorite sports, I'm all in!
