Proceeds benefit Uplifting Athletes, Inc.
Based on 14 touchdowns, each worth $37.14
The student-athlete led Penn Chapter of Uplifting Athletes is using college football as a platform to shine a spotlight on the Rare Disease Community by holding a Touchdown Pledge Drive throughout the month of October.
During Touchdown Pledge Drive month, the Penn Quakers play home games against Dartmouth and Sacred Heart and travel to Columbia and Yale. Fans can support the Quakers by making a pledge for each touchdown they score in all four games. We are projecting our team to score 12 touchdowns total! As the games unfold, watch and cheer as each touchdown scored helps raise money to support the Rare Disease Community.
The proceeds from our 2019 Touchdown Pledge Drive support the mission of Uplifting Athletes and its commitment to create Uplifting Experiences, fund Rare Disease Research, and expand Rare Disease Awareness.
How you can help
The Penn Chapter
Moved by former Quakers wide receiver Kaleb Germinaro, who lost his playing career to a rare disease, Dr. David Fajgenbaum, a Castleman’s Disease Researcher who has the disease himself, and Vhito Decapria, a now 9-year-old team captain and brain cancer survivor, the Penn Chapter started tackling rare diseases when it joined Uplifting Athletes in 2015.
About Uplifting Athletes
A nonprofit organization founded in 2007, Uplifting Athletes inspires the Rare Disease Community with hope through the power of sport. Uplifting Athletes fulfills its mission through a network of college football student-athlete led chapters, Uplifting Ambassadors and Team UA participants that support our charitable programs: Uplifting Leaders, Uplifting Experiences, Rare Disease Research and Rare Disease Awareness.
I hope you will join our team and make a pledge to support the Penn Chapter and the Rare Disease Community. Also, please share our Touchdown Pledge Drive campaign on your social media to help us Tackle Rare Diseases.
