Proceeds benefit Overton Park Conservancy
Overton Park’s Old Forest State Natural Area is a priceless habitat in the middle of Memphis, and Overton Park Conservancy is proud to care for it. From removing invasive plant species to helping mighty oaks and tulip poplars grow, we’re working to keep the forest healthy and resilient. Right now, we’re in the peak of spring bird migration, when birds travel northward to breed. Places like the Old Forest are critical stops for birds to rest and refuel. The Overton Park Conservancy team is conducting a spring Big Day, where we spend the day in the park in an effort to record as many species as possible. We’re asking you to pledge any dollar amount per bird species that we see, and those funds will contribute to the Conservancy’s work to steward habitat for birds and other wildlife.
