Proceeds are being collected by Trevor Spangle
Two weeks ago, I attempted my first organized 100 mile trail run near Olallie Lake Resort at the Mountain Lakes 100. Unfortunately, I missed the time cutoff at the 55-mile aid station by ten minutes and was not allowed to continue on. My body-including my legs, stomach, and mind- all felt good at this cut off; and now, I have an elusive monkey on my back as to what it feels like to finish 100 miles by foot in one go.
Not wanting to waste the fitness I have procured over the last several months, nor travel to any of the last remaining 100 mile events on the west coast this season, I have decided that I would like another attempt to run 100 miles using the 100 mile century route of the Lebanon Strawberry Century bicycle event and create an opportunity to share in that goal with Build Lebanon Trails, and give back to their non-profit organization and the Lebanon community through a pledge-by-mile fundraiser. 100% of all proceeds pledged for each mile ran will be given directly back to the Build Lebanon Trails Organization.
Thanks for your consideration in this zany endeavor. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have at swiftsummitnw@gmail.com.
