Millennium Phoenix XC

The Millennium Cross Country Team consists of 9th-12th grade boys and girls from two NYC public high schools. Despite racing against much larger schools we are major contenders in the NYC public school league!

We have set new team and individual records in our first 2 major championships this year: the Mayor's Cup, where our Varsity & JV girls' teams placed 3rd and our Varsity & JV boys' teams placed 4th, and the Borough Championship where all our teams placed 2nd.

As athletes we are proud of the strides we have made and are facing a new challenge: raising money for our team. Funds raised will be used to pay for team expenses including, but not limited to, race registration fees, race transportation costs, track rental space, award ceremonies, running apparel/gear, training materials, and athletic education programs.

We are reaching out to friends and family to support our individual and team efforts towards:

• the successful completion of the XC season (City Championships are November 2nd and 9th)

• setting a new PR (personal record)

• reaching individual running goals (such as miles run in training)

• making it to the NY State Federation XC Championship in late November
