WHY I’M TAKING THE CHALLENGE

Since 2009, the NFL and American Cancer Society have teamed up each October for Crucial Catch, raising money to help those in underserved communities get low or no cost screenings and education on the importance of screenings.

When I learned that this season, the players, the NFL and ACS created the inaugural Crucial Catch Challenge, designed to create friendly competition off the field, based on the player performances on the field, I knew I wanted to join. By engaging our fans, we can raise even more awareness and funds for education, early detection and screening for multiple cancers. Each of us is taking the challenge to honor all those individuals, family members, friends and more who have battled, and continue to battle cancer. For my Crucial Catch, I’ve chosen to ask fans to pledge for every rushing touchdown that I score during our last four games in October.
