Marist Football Lift For Life 2023: Defense

The Marist Football Chapter Lift for Life is coming up and our team is proud to dedicate our performance in support of Uplifting Athletes. Uplifting Athletes is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which harnesses the power of sport to build community and invest in the lives of those impacted by rare disease.

Lift For Life is Uplifting Athletes’ signature event held by student-athletes at colleges and universities across the country. Our event is scheduled for August 22.

The challenges faced by the rare community are bigger than any one individual, team, or organization can tackle alone. Here at Marist, we take pride in the opportunity to shine a spotlight on rare diseases and support Uplifting Athletes so that no person feels alone.

Supporting our Lift for Life is simple! Fans can pledge for each 225 lb. bench press repetition we complete. Our goal is to average 15 reps during the event.

The Marist Chapter

Uplifting Athletes was pleased to have Marist College join the nationwide network of chapters led by college football student-athletes. The 2019 Lift For Life event was the Red Foxes’ first event to support the rare disease community and help tackle rare diseases. The Chapter was founded by State College native Paul Olivett who developed a passion for the rare disease cause growing up in the shadow of Penn State. His desire to use his platform to help others led to him starting a chapter at Marist.
