Lubbock Loop Iron Butt Ride for Veterans

I will be riding around the loop starting at 6:00am on June 7th to raise money for the local veteran organization, Patriot Guard Riders of Lubbock. The Patriot Guard Riders is a 100% Volunteer, Federally registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which ensures dignity and respect at memorial services honoring Fallen Military Heroes, First Responders and honorably discharged Veterans. The money raised is used for flags used at veterans events and funerals, plaques and bibles given to the family of heros and helping local veterans in need.

The pledges will be for each mile that I ride. Loop 289 is 26 miles around and the goal is to complete 60 laps for a total of 1,560 miles. I will be starting and finishing at the Circle K on Indiana and the South Loop 289 and fueling up there every 12 laps. The only breaks will be taken at the fuel stops to fuel up, stretch, eat and use the restrroom. I will have a GPS tracker tracking me the entire time to confirm the miles ridden. I am an experienced long distance rider and have completed many rides longer than 1,000 miles at a time and safety is my number 1 priority so I know when I need to safely stop the ride for rest.
