The Los Muchachos Motorsports  team will be partnered up and driving in honor of Brock Hogan, a Canadian Armed Forces Veteran and Operation Motorsport beneficiary!

Brock is currently serving with the Canadian Armed Forces as a Master Corporal in the Third Battalion Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry.

Brock joined the Canadian Forces in July of 2009 and after Basic Training and Battle School was sent to the Third Battalion Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI). Upon arrival he was sent along with the rest of the battalion to complete work up training in preparation for deployment.

**In July of 2011 Brock deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan as a part of the Force Protection Platoon where he worked to ensure the safety of Canadian and other Coalition members transporting them between camps in the city and outside. Always looking for more, Brock volunteered and helped on numerous occasions with the Close Protection teams whose jobwas to ensure the safety of General Officers and civilian dignitaries. **

In July of 2018 after suffering a seizure and receiving an MRI, Brock was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor and posted back home to Edmonton, AB to be closer to his family. After further imaging showed the possibility of the tumor growing he was scheduled for Brain Surgery and went under the knife of January 7th 2019. After a successful surgery where not one but two tumors were removed Brock was placed on medication to help with the after effects of the surgery and sent home to recover after a couple days in the hospital. Always a fighter he has since returned to work where he awaits how the Canadian Forces wish to progress with his career. Since surgery and because of the scarring Brock has suffered numerous seizures which have kept him from maintaining his driving license, however he is hopeful that his current medical and pharmaceutical treatment will be able to control that very shortly.

Always a fan of motorsports, most notably Formula 1, Brock found comfort by getting into sim racing, starting with the F1 series and moving into the iRacing platform. Looking for like minded individuals he found the group Operation Motorsport and competed for one and a half season, most recently as a beneficiary for the group. Operation Motorsport was able to not only give Brock a place for him to continue to enjoy his passion of racing but also put him in touch with an amazing community of like-minded individuals. From other current and former military personnel to other supporters, the comradery and competition make it an amazing organization that provides great opportunities and more for injured veterans like Brock.

These drivers will do their best to race hard and complete as many laps as possible to help aid in the recovery and rehabilitation of these US/Canadian heros!
