WHY I’M TAKING THE CHALLENGE

I am proud to announce my partnership with the American Cancer Society and my participation in the first Athlete Council for the 2017-2018 season. I have a personal experience with cancer that set the foundation for my relationship with the American Cancer Society.

When I was 15 months old, my little brother, Casey, was born with neuroblastoma, a cancer common among infants. After operations and chemotherapy, Casey eventually beat cancer. I don’t remember it. I just hear stories from my mom and dad about being a 15-month-old and getting dragged in and out of the hospital and how strong my little brother was and how strong my mom and dad are. So when you have something that close to your family, this obviously weighs heavy on my heart.

This October, I am encouraging everyone to help raise funds to battle cancer by pledging money for each yard I earn this month!
