Kent State Chapter Touchdown Pledge Drive '19, Where Every Golden Flash Score Means More!
The student-athlete led Kent State Chapter of Uplifting Athletes is using college football as a platform to shine a spotlight on the Rare Disease Community by holding a Touchdown Pledge Drive throughout the month of October.
During Touchdown Pledge Drive month, the Kent State Golden Flashes play home games against Miami (OH) and travel to Wisconsin, Akron, and Ohio. Fans can support the team by making a pledge for each touchdown they score in all four games. We are projecting our team to score 12 touchdowns total! As the games unfold, watch and cheer as each touchdown scored helps raise money to support the Rare Disease Community.
The proceeds from our 2019 Touchdown Pledge Drive support the mission of Uplifting Athletes and its commitment to create Uplifting Experiences, fund Rare Disease Research, and expand Rare Disease Awareness.

The Kent State Chapter
Kent State football program was inspired to help Tackle Rare Diseases by Golden Flashes wide receiver Antwan Dixon, who returned to the field in 2019 after a 36-month absence while battling the rare blood disorder aplastic anemia. Dixon was a finalist for the 11th Uplifting Athletes Rare Disease Champion Award. Uplifting Athletes is proud to partner with Kent State Football to show support and advocate for the Rare Disease Community.
