Proceeds benefit Depression2Extinction
I’ve lived in Illinois basically my entire life. I’m currently working for a contractor that contracts with FedEd so I drive a delivery truck all day. I’ve been running since high school but I decided to get into ultra running to prove to my knee surgeon that I could still run long distances.
I was originally signed up to run the 100 Miler and I updated my entry to the 150 because I’ve had a great training season. Plus, I recently learned that one of my Ultra heroes David Goggins ran the 150 mile at this race in 2008. This is my first 150 mile so I just want get it done and finish epically!
My biggest motivations as an athelte are proving to myself I accomplish what I set my mind on and the feeling you get when you know you’re about to finish the hardest thing you’ve done in your life!
I’m excited to run this event for d2e because I have many friends and family members who suffered from depression and anxiety, especially my dad. It’s a great feeling to know my efforts are helping people.
