Proceeds benefit The Bail Project
Based on 28 heist movies watched, each worth $198.05
During the month of November, I’m raising money and awareness for The Bail Project – an unprecedented effort to combat mass incarceration at the front end of the system by paying bail for people in need, reuniting families and restoring the presumption of innocence. Over the next five years, they’ll be expanding to dozens of places across the U.S. and securing freedom for over 100,000 people. And since bail money comes back when cases close, The Bail Project is able to recycle every dollar donated at least twice per year.
To support this cause, I’m going to be watching as many heist movies as I plausibly can in the month of November without significantly disrupting my life. You can pledge any amount of money per heist movie watched and 100% of the proceeds will go to The Bail Project. My goal is to watch 25 heist movies over the course of November, which Anna thinks is too ambitious but I believe I can get to (I’ve watched 3 through the first 3 days of the month). Also if anyone wants to join for some of the movies or has good movie suggestions, you/they are more than welcome. Depending on how it goes, I may create other heist movie-related content such as commentary on the movies, my definitive heist movie ranking, etc.
Very excited for everyone to be a part of #HeistNovember.
