Major League Baseball players and brothers, Tyler and Scott Heineman, have always led lives with a focus on their community, service, and giving back. For over seven years, the brothers have proudly partnered with Team Prime Time. Through volunteering with youth sports programs, camps, and events, Tyler and Scott have witnessed the positive impact Team Prime Time has on the participants first hand.

Team Prime Time was founded in 2001 to provide after school intervention programs for at-risk youth. To date, Team Prime Time’s programs have positively impacted thousands of at-risk and special needs students at over 70 schools, and recorded 98% high school graduation rate among peer coach participants compared to 68% LAUSD average.

The Prime Time Games is an evidence-based model that gives two at-risk populations at the same high school, low-income youth and students with disabilities (including autism and down syndrome), the chance to compete together in the only league of its kind. Their unique approach is to take those perceived as needing mentors, and instead make them the mentors for their peers with disabilities.
