Georgia Tech Football Lift For Life 2023: Defense

The Georgia Tech Football Chapter Lift for Life is coming up and our team is proud to dedicate our performance in support of Uplifting Athletes. Uplifting Athletes is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which harnesses the power of sport to build community and invest in the lives of those impacted by rare disease.

Lift For Life is Uplifting Athletes’ signature event held by student-athletes at colleges and universities across the country. Our event is scheduled for July 21.

The challenges faced by the rare community are bigger than any one individual, team, or organization can tackle alone. Here at Georgia Tech, we take pride in the opportunity to shine a spotlight on rare diseases and support Uplifting Athletes so that no person feels alone.

Supporting our Lift for Life is simple! Fans can pledge for each 1,000 lbs we lift. Our goal is to max squat a total of 10,000 pounds during the event.

The Georgia Tech Chapter

The Georgia Tech Chapter started tackling rare diseases in 2015 when it joined Uplifting Athletes. Offensive lineman Trey Klock was instrumental in forming the Georgia Tech Chapter after his family was impacted by two rare diseases. Trey realized the depth of the platform provided to college student-athletes and was inspired to help fight rare diseases. Georgia Tech held its inaugural Lift For Life in 2016.
