Proceeds are being collected by Edward Price
UPDATE! We've learned that the morning show for 9&10 News will be broadcasting live segments from the course on Friday to tell the stories of Elliott and St. Jude from 5:45 a.m. through 8:45 a.m.!
On Friday, June 17, 2022, Traverse City Country Club President Steve Booher and Immediate Past President Ed Price will take the formidable challenge to play as many holes of golf as possible from sun up to sun down, in one day. Racing around TCCC, their goal is to play 100 holes of golf and raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the family of TCCC’s golf course superintendent, Steve Hammon.
As many of you know, Steve’ Hammon’s son Elliott had a brain tumor removed last December. Because his tumor was so complicated and difficult to access, the neurosurgeons had to leave some small areas behind. Elliott recently spent six weeks at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis to receive specialized proton beam radiation treatments in an effort to kill off the remaining tumor. Although Elliott and family have a long road ahead, he’s back in school and competing on the Frankfort High School golf team!
To support St. Jude and the Hammon family, you can either give a flat donation amount or pledge a specific amount for each hole of golf we play. For example, if you pledge $1 per hole and Booher. and Ed complete 200 holes, that’s $200 towards St. Jude and the Hammon family. It will be a fun, but challenging day and your backing will help keep Booher and Ed going!
Date | Name | holes played | Earned |
