The EIU Women’s Soccer Chapter Lift for Life is coming up and our team is proud to dedicate our performance in support of Uplifting Athletes. Uplifting Athletes is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which harnesses the power of sport to build community and invest in the lives of those impacted by rare disease.
Lift For Life is Uplifting Athletes’ signature event held by student-athletes at colleges and universities across the country. Our event is scheduled for August 7.
The challenges faced by the rare community are bigger than any one individual, team, or organization can tackle alone. Here at EIU, we take pride in the opportunity to shine a spotlight on rare diseases and support Uplifting Athletes so that no person feels alone.

The EIU Chapter
The Eastern Illinois Women’s Soccer program is part of a network of chapters that embraces the mission of Uplifting Athletes to help make a difference for the rare disease community. Members of the women’s soccer program saw the passion of the football EIU Chapter and it inspired them to join the cause in 2021. Midfielder Kenzie Balcerak stepped into a leadership role and guided the Panthers team through their inaugural Lift For Life in 2021.
