Proceeds benefit American Cancer Society
The Coaches vs Cancer 3-Point Challenge unites college and high school basketball teams from across the country for a common cause – ending cancer.
The Golden Eagles girls’ and boys’ basketball programs have joined forces to participate in the 3-Point Challenge to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society in memory of our very own Dr. Lisa Horton. A beloved wife, mother, educator, coach and athletic director, Dr. Horton served the Eagle’s Landing community for many years, inspiring countless students and athletes along the way. Our goal is to to honor her dedication by paying it forward…one shot at a time.
Today, on what would have been Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s 89th birthday, we kick off our Coaches vs. Cancer campaign in response to what Dr. King considered “life’s most persistent and pressing question…What are you doing for others?” We hope you join our efforts to raise money for the American Cancer Society to help combat the disease that has taken such a great toll on society. Whether you choose to donate a flat amount or make a pledge based upon the number of (3) pointers our teams make during our remaining January games, no amount is too small. All donations are greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your support!
Pledge for every 3-pointer our team makes during the month of January to help the American Cancer Society lead the fight for a world without cancer. Every Shot Counts. Every Life Counts. Make your pledge today!
