$25 to be donated to the Dylan Witschen Foundation for Every Tackle
For Immediate Release
Minneapolis, MN (July 1, 2024) - University of Minnesota standout linebacker, Cody Lindenberg, is teaming up with prominent Minneapolis real estate agent, Isaac Johnson, of Next Move Twin Cities to raise money for the Dylan Witschen Foundation over the course of the 2024 football season.
For every tackle Cody registers on the field for the Gophers this season, Johnson will donate $25 to the Dylan Witschen Foundation up to a maximum donation of $2,500.
Gopher fans are also welcome and encouraged to participate and donate via Cody’s Pledge It Page.
To officially launch the campaign, there will be a kickoff event on Saturday, July 27th, at Riversbend Bar & Grill located at 14077 St Francis Blvd NW Ramsey, MN 55303, which is owned and operated by the Witschen family.
The Dylan Witschen Foundation was established to celebrate and honor the life of Dylan Witschen. Motivated by Dylan’s passion for life and love of sports, their mission is to support his dreams and maintain his legacy by providing scholarships for local college bound students. Along with Dylan’s hopes of finding a cure for cancer, funds will also be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and other like-institutions dedicated to finding a cure for cancer.
“Cody and I both have a tremendous pride, passion and commitment to the people of Minnesota, so it was a natural fit to team up and support the Dylan Witschen Foundation so that they can continue to do all the wonderful work they do in our community,” said Isaac Johnson on the partnership.
Johnson, a trusted real estate expert in the Minneapolis area, prides himself on his service-driven approach by offering his clients innovative ways of marketing their property, searching for the perfect neighborhood features, negotiating the very best price and providing the very best overall real estate experience possible.
“Ever since Dylan’s passing there has been an Anoka football tradition where his beloved #7 is passed down to a teammate who exemplified the seven characteristics he believed people should live their lives (compassion, giving, team-player, determination, strength, leadership, confidence). My senior year, I was honored to be chosen to wear #7 and was fortunate enough to meet his parents and I’ve been close with them from that point in time. I never knew Dylan personally but I have made a tremendous connection with his family and it’s very important for me to try to carry on his legacy!”
Last season, Cody committed to donating 100% of the proceeds from his merchandise sales to the Dylan Witschen Foundation. Please click the following link to support by purchasing your own Cody Lindenberg gear: (link)
